About the Program
Confident Connections is a supportive children’s therapeutic group program designed to help children develop confidence in friendships, communication and social situations.
Through engaging activities, discussions, games and strengths-based learning, children are supported to better understand themselves and others, practise positive communication and build the skills needed to form healthy, respectful friendships.
The program focuses on helping children feel more confident connecting with peers, navigating social challenges, managing friendship worries and developing a stronger sense of belonging.
At Flying Colours Education, we believe children thrive when they feel accepted, connected and confident in who they are.
WHAT CHILDREN WILL LEARN
Children participating in Confident Connections will be supported to:
build friendship and communication skills
develop social confidence
practice turn taking, listening and conversation skills
understand emotions in themselves and others
manage friendship challenges and conflict
strengthen empathy, kindness and respect
build confidence joining in with peers
develop a stronger sense of belonging
Who this Program May Support
This group may benefit children who:
find friendships tricky or overwhelming
feel anxious in social situations
struggle to join in with peers
have difficulty managing friendship conflict
feel left out, isolated or unsure where they fit
need support with communication or social confidence
would benefit from building peer connection in a safe and supportive group environment
A Safe & Supportive Environment
Our group programs are facilitated by qualified and experienced counsellors in a calm, welcoming and emotionally safe environment.
Children are encouraged to be themselves, celebrate differences, and practice social skills through fun, engaging and interactive activities.
We understand that every child is unique, and we aim to ensure each child feels heard, supported and valued throughout the program.

Age Group:
Junior Group: 10-12 years
Teen Group: 13-15 years
Group Size:
Small groups of up to 6 children
Session Length:
45 minute sessions

5 weeks

$200 total program cost ($40 a session)
