We pride ourselves on our family centered approach and put our students and families as the focus in all aspects of our organisation.

Locally Based in Cardiff

Centrally located on Main Road, Cardiff, NSW our centre is easy to find. Street and shop parking is available at the front and rear.

Quality and Experienced Teachers

All staff at Flying Colours have a minimum Bachelor Qualification. This means that your child’s teachers are qualified and experienced  – Early Childhood, Primary and High School Trained. Many staff also have additional and higher qualifications including Masters, Honours and Diplomas.

1:1 or Small Group Sessions

We offer a range of different times for 1:1 or small group sessions. All of our sessions are 45 minutes. Small groups are capped at a a maximum of 4 students. Our 1:1 sessions are held before and during school times. All group sessions run from 3.30pm.

Face to Face and Hands On

All of our sessions are face to face, in person with teacher and student. Our learning activities are multisensory and hands on.

Tutuoring vs Support

Unlike traditional styles of tutoring, Flying Colours offers learning in a supportive way. This means that from identified weakness and gaps, we endeavour to support learning knowing the child’s learning style and areas that require strengthening. One of the key elements of our support is that we recognise the pace of the learner and do not try to push through an agenda.

We reocgnise that learning styles and needs are different for everyone. We understand, value and target our program to best suit the needs of your child.

Our therapy sessions have a strong focus on multi-sensory learning for both maths and English. We are committed to assisting your child reach their full potential and we keep our group sizes low.

Additional Learning Needs

Our staff and program appreciate that additional learning needs may impact your child in a unique way. We recognise the role of awareness, history and diagnosis in supporting your child’s learning.

Unique Literacy and Numeracy Program

Flying Colours has it’s own Literacy and Numeracy programs. Both of these work from a perspective of support and creating a strong framework of learning. Whether it is spelling, reading or maths, we endeavour to build a solid basis for all future learning.

Counselling Services on Site

We offer Counselling services for children and their carers. Counselling is available for anyone and able to be booked online without a referral. Our friendly and approachable counselling team and programs offer understanding and listening in a quiet and relaxed setting.

Preschool, Primary and High School

We offer support from preschool to Year 12. Many of our prorgams also offer preparation for Kindergarten and High School. We also are interested in supporting Home School Learners.

School Holiday Workshops

During the school holidays we often run educational and fun workshops. These may help target a particular area requiring support or be play and craft based.

Who we are and why we are different to other tutoring services

Flying Colours Education offers quality, specialised  learning support and therapy for all students Preschool, Kindergarten to Year 12.

We are different to normal tutoring because our therapy is for support with weakness and difficulty.

Tutoring is a still a common and important term that people use when asking for help for their child with learning but it sometimes doesn’t necessarily return back to the basics. At Flying Colours we see this as key to building a solid foundation.

We appreciate and understand that learning is different for everybody. We also understand that everyone has different learning styles and abilities.

Our Background
Flying Colours Education was established in 2015 by Centre Director Janina. Janina has always had a passion to help students achieve when the classroom moved too fast. The centre has a strong focus on helping every child and ensure that learning is a positive and enjoyable experience. 
At Flying Colours all our programs use teaching principles that are supported with evidence. We’ve done all the research and training on the best way to teach and learn and have designed our programs according to this research so you can be confident that what we teach works!
We offer a diverse range of classes and keep our class numbers low, so we can ensure that your child receives ample one-on-one time with our teachers.
All of our staff have a minimum level of Bachelor Degree Qualifications and are uniquely trained in our Specialised Therapy Progams. In addition to this, we regularly train and meet current professional standards. Our staff genuinely care about the well being and progress of their students.

In School Service

We also offer personalised learning therapy for children in school during school hours on a withdrawal from class basis. This is always done with the permission and cooperation of the school.
This individual therapy can also be held at our office during school hours.
