About the Program
Brave & Belong is a supportive children’s therapeutic group program designed to help children build confidence, strengthen friendships and develop practical strategies for navigating bullying and social challenges.
Through engaging activities, discussions, role play and strengths-based learning, children are supported to better understand themselves, communicate confidently and feel a stronger sense of belonging.
The program focuses on empowering children — not through aggression or “fighting back” but by helping them build emotional resilience, healthy boundaries, self-worth and supportive peer connections.
At Flying Colours Education, we believe children thrive when they feel safe, accepted and confident in who they are.
WHAT CHILDREN WILL LEARN
Children participating in Brave & Belong will be supported to:
build self-confidence and self-esteem
develop positive friendship skills
strengthen communication and assertiveness
recognise and respond to bullying safely
manage worries and difficult emotions
build resilience and emotional regulation skills
develop empathy, kindness and respect for others
feel more connected and supported socially
Who this Program May Support
This group may benefit children who:
are struggling with friendships or peer conflict
have experienced bullying or social exclusion
appear withdrawn, anxious, or lacking confidence
find it difficult to speak up for themselves
worry about fitting in socially
would benefit from building resilience and social confidence in a supportive environment
A Safe & Supportive Environment
Our therapeutic group programs are facilitated by qualified and experienced counsellors in a calm, welcoming and emotionally safe environment.
Children are encouraged to be themselves, celebrate differences, and develop positive connections with others through fun, engaging and interactive activities.
We understand that every child is different and we aim to ensure each child feels heard, supported, and valued throughout the program.

Junior Group: 10-12 years
Teen Group: 13-15 years
Group Size:
Small groups of up to 6 children

45 minute sessions

$200 total program cost ($40 a session)
