Career Opportunities
Flying Colours Education is expanding, and we’re looking for passionate teachers to join us in a permanent part-time role. This is a long-term opportunity—not a casual or short-term position. This role is for teachers who want to invest their skills and energy in a lasting, meaningful teaching journey with us.
Our core times of helping kids are between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm, with opportunities to work during the day and/or evening. A typical week will include a mix of 8:00–5:00 and 9:00–6:00 shifts. We’d like to start at around 20 hours per week, but if you can offer more, we’re open to working with you to work the hours you need —and as our business continues to grow, so can your role.
We are expanding in the following areas:
Primary or Early Childhood Teacher (with primary experience)
Secondary English Teacher
Secondary Mathematics Teacher
To be a Flying Colours Teacher, you’ll have:
Essential:
- A Current working with children check (paid employment)
- A Bachelor degree (Early Childhood, Primary, Secondary)

Primary or Early Childhood qualifications with primary teaching experience, OR secondary qualifications in Mathematics or English.

A commitment to helping children achieve their very best.

The ability to build positive rapport with students.

Understanding, compassion, and the ability to teach children from a wide range of backgrounds, abilities, and needs.

Skill in identifying different areas of need and adapting programs accordingly.

Professional and effective communication skills with parents, carers, and colleagues.
-
An interest in (or passion for) active, multi-sensory learning and a commitment to making learning fun.

Well-developed technology skills, or a willingness to learn to use a variety of programs.
Desirable (but not essential):

Experience or training in evidence-based intervention programs (e.g., structured literacy, numeracy intervention).

Experience or qualifications in Special Education or working with diverse learners.

Familiarity with multi-sensory or play-based learning approaches.

A willingness to engage in ongoing professional learning in intervention practices

OUR SERVICES
We offer a range of personalised learning programs in both a small group and individual basis for your child from kindergarten through to year 12 in Maths and English.
We also provide specialised learning sessions for pre-schoolers and special needs therapy.
We assist your child in study and organisational skills. We also conduct intensive holiday reading, writing, spelling and maths programs.
ADDITIONAL SERVICES
This individual therapy can also be held at our office during school hours.
