Like all programs at Flying Colours Education, our holiday programs are designed with fun in mind. Our holiday sessions are play based to ensure children learn in a fun and meaningful way. Our sessions are more relaxed during school holidays because who wants to be too serious in the holidays? We have so much fun, the kids don’t even realise they’re learning. Our holiday programs run during NSW school holiday time. The more students that join, the less we charge, so get some friends together and join one of our school holiday programs.

Fun with Phonics
Learning to read is like building a house. You need a solid foundation before you build the walls! Our Fun with Phonics holiday program involves going back to basics, making sure that block of cement is nice and strong. In this program we use fun, games and a multi sensory approach to learn about syllables, rhyming, blending and breaking down words into their individual sounds. Rest assure your child will be well on the way to becoming a super reader!

Creative Writing
Writing a story is like following a recipe. In order for it to be great, it needs to have the right ingredients and to follow a specific method. In our holiday creative writing course, we teach our students what ingredients are needed and how to follow the recipe to cook up a story writing storm. We use elements of drama and multi sensory activities to assist our students in learning the elements of story writing needed to write a story that will knock their teacher’s socks off! Comprehension
Do you have a child who reads but finds comprehension challenging? Flying Colours Education book club sessions are a great, non-threatening and fun way for kids to learn the many deeper comprehension strategies we use while reading. At our book club sessions, the kids choose a book they’d like to read together and have fun responding to reading while learning important comprehension strategies at the same time. It’s a great social activity for kids to do in the holidays. The sessions are designed to promote group work and communication skills in a relaxed and fun environment.
