Teaching at Flying Colours is the best job EVER!

Are you a teacher at heart?

Is making a difference in the lives of your students the reason you chose to be a teacher?

Are you disillusioned by the school system, sick of being bogged down by paper work and policies and

procedures that aren’t about helping the kids?

Are you looking to get back to doing what you trained to do which is help kids achieve?

Perhaps you’re getting frustrated by the unpredictability of casual teaching and want the magic of watching your students blossom with your guidance?

You’ve found your home here with us at Flying Colours Education

We are committed to not only providing our students with incredible education but also to our teachers who are the heart of our business. Flying Colours Education is always on the look out for a committed person with teaching at the heart of their being to join our fun-loving Flying Colours family!

Don’t take it from us!

Read what our teachers say about how great it is working at Flying Colours!

The team at Flying Colours are wonderful to work with and I value their support and knowledge. This job provides the opportunity to work closely with students and adapt the practice of teaching to better meet their individual needs;

encourage pride in their unique process of learning; and develop knowledge and skills in a variety of ways which usually aren’t available in a large classroom.

For me, the biggest highlight of this job is watching the confidence of a child continually to grow and then hearing from a parent that they have also observed this growth.

Flying Colours is an amazing place to learn and work. Seeing the students ‘blossom’, take pride in their achievements and enjoy learning in a fun, supportive and nurturing family environment gives me great fulfillment, satisfaction and happiness. I value working in collaboration with parents and my fellow colleagues to help all students to soar and reach their full potential.

When working for Flying Colours, the paperwork trail is significantly less than that of teaching in a classroom or school. The majority of our programs and resources are already available and accessible for immediate use. We have educational leaders that are readily accessible, personable and available to direct, guide and assist your sessions. Training is provided and ongoing professional development is always available.

As an employee of Flying Colours I appreciate the flexibility in my working hours.

Flying Colours has allowed me to experience all the joys of teaching. Seeing the students flourish at their own pace in a fun and interactive way whilst also communicating so positively with families is a wonderful feeling. The team are like a second family; I truly have never felt more supported in a role. The flexibility also allows me to have time for ‘life’ duties – a rarity as a teacher. What’s not to love?

I love working at Flying Colours for so many reasons. I know that my work is appreciated and that makes me want to strive to achieve the best outcomes I can for the children, families and the team as a whole. We really are a team, we discuss issues, bounce ideas off one another and take joy in our students’ achievements together. I really love that our programs are already in place and are so structured and comprehensive, this means we can prioritise the quality of teaching/learning in every lesson, over planning, programming and other administration tasks.

Flying Colours is more than just a workplace, it’s a family! I love seeing the joy on the kids faces as they arrive for their sessions, and the excitement and confidence they show as they share their learnings with their family at the end.

Flying Colours is more than a job. I have found a place that has really ignited my passion for teaching. I have always loved working with children, but Flying Colours makes me feel like I’m making a real difference. Working in small groups gives children the time they need to develop a deep understanding of the content their learning and feel comfortable to ask for help when they need it. Teaching Literacy and Mathematics in a way that brings joy and success is what children remember and builds confidence.  It is amazing to work alongside people who build you up and support one another. A wonderful, happy and helpful environment with a team who really commit to work together to give students the best results. It’s a real privilege to be on the Flying Colours team and I can’t speak highly enough of my work family.

I enjoy working at Flying Colours and supporting an amazing team of teachers who are dedicated and passionate working with their children.  We all work together, help and support each other in a positive and fun environment.  The flexible work arrangements also mean I can have a great life-work balance and have the best of both worlds.

Flying Colours is the most amazing place to work. I absolutely love being part of the team. It is such a rewarding experience to be able to make a difference in the education of so many students. From the moment I walked up the colourful staircase, I knew I was in a special place. I am sure our students would agree.

The best thing about working at Flying Colours is the amazing  feeling I get from helping parents help their kids achieve. It truly feels good knowing that I’m making a difference! I also delight in teaching our teachers our amazing program and the amazing things it has done for so many kids that have walked up our stairs.

Career Opportunities

Flying Colours Education is expanding, and we’re looking for passionate teachers to join us in a permanent part-time role. This is a long-term opportunity—not a casual or short-term position. We’re investing in you with training and support, so we’re seeking teachers who want to build a future with us, not just “borrow” the experience before heading back to the classroom.

We’d like to start at around 20 hours per week, but if you can offer more, we’re open to working with you to work the hours you need —and as our business continues to grow, so can your role.
